My registration code is not being recognized, what can I do?

Make sure you are entering it exactly as it was sent on the Kagi receipt. You need to respect Upper and Lower case characters.


I’ve paid through Kagi, when will I get my code?

Your registration code is included as part of your confirmation email from Kagi. If you did not receive this, please check your Spam folder or verify with Kagi (support@kagi.com).


I’m trying to enter my registration code but PinPoint keeps asking me to register, what can I do?

Sometimes, if you enter the code through PinPoint when it launches or tells you it is unregistered, the information fails to be written to the preferences. We are working on resolving this pesky bug. In the meantime, please enter your code through the PinPoint System Preference. under the Registration tab.


PinPoint will not follow my pointer, what can I do to fix this?

Here are some steps to help resolve this situation.

  1. 1.Try clicking the «Reset defaults» button in PinPoint’s PReference Pane.

  2. 2.Delete all the installed pointers (click the appropriate button in PinPoint and delete all files that are there)

  3. 3.Run the Uninstaller and Reinstall PinPoint. You will have to reenter your registration #.

  4. 4.If all this fails, send us a copy of any output in the Console app via email.


How do I uninstall PinPoint?

There is a new uninstaller on the PinPoint 3 disk image. Simply download PinPoint 3 again and check the disk image.


How do I uninstall PinPoint manually?

If you want to uninstall it yourself, PinPoint installs some or all of the following files:

   /Library/PreferencePanes/PinPoint 3.prefpane

    Inside your Home Directory

    ~/Library/PreferencePanes/PinPoint 3.prefpane

    ~/Library/Application Support/PinPoint 3/

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.macchampion.pinpoint3.plist


How do I Reset my preferences?

The PinPoint System Preference has a button do do just this (Reset Defaults). But if that fails or if you are having some other problems, you may wish to delete the preference file:

    Inside your Home Directory

   ~/Library/Preferences/com.macchampion.pinpoint3.plist
